Why should I hire Dat Band for my event?
There are lots of bands marketing themselves as wedding or private events bands, but let’s face it: we’ve all been to a wedding or event where the band was only functioning as a live jukebox. Sure, a band can sound great, look great, and even play the right music, so what makes Dat Band so much different? One word: interaction! We’re not there to play a concert, we’re there to pack the dance floor and help create awesome memories!

What determines the price of the band?
The price of your package depends on 2 key factors: the number of services we provide (for example, ceremony music, second line, cocktail hour, etc.) and the size of the band requested for your main event. We have the ability to scale the size of the band up and down to meet almost any budget.

That said, it’s always our job to make sure you get MORE than you paid for.

What’s included in the price? Do I have to provide anything for the band?
We will provide all the equipment we need to perform, but not a stage. A stage may be a great touch for some events, but is definitely not required. (We do require a covered space for all outdoor events regardless of predicted weather.) All of our packages include a professional sound system to cover 500 or fewer guests, all instrumentation involved, professional stage lighting, and even basic DJ service to keep the party going during live music breaks. Our quotes are all inclusive with taxes, travel, and all equipment necessary to perform so you’ll never deal with any surprises.


Where can I see you play?

We host a live monthly showcase at the world famous Hard Rock Cafe in New Orleans! You can find more information about the event on our Facebook page in the calendar section.

When is the best time to book the band?

We tend to book well in advance, sometimes as early as 12-16 months ahead of time, so it’s best to place a deposit on your date as soon possible to ensure our availability.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. We require 50% upfront to reserve the date on our calendar. This deposit is non-refundable since we will be holding the date for you. We can take payment in a variety of different ways including Venmo, Paypal, and major credit cards. We also accept checks, money orders, or cash for those local to the Greater New Orleans area.

I'm planning my event from out of town. Do you provide turn-key packages?

Yes – if you’re looking for as stress-free of an event as possible, consolidate your vendors! We are able to be uniquely flexible due to the network of artists, specialists, and equipment that we maintain, and we can be as turn-key as you need us to be. For weddings, we can provide service during your ceremony (i.e. string quartet, solo classical guitar, mic for your officiant), a traditional New Orleans second line, cocktail hour, and reception including professional Emcee service. We even offer a photo booth (sold separately) and can help to refer you to top notch photographers and videographers!
